Rajasthan University Lab Assistant and Clerk Syllabus 2017: The University of Rajasthan has vacancies for the post of Clerk (Grade 2) and Lab Assistant. The notification for recruiting eligible candidates for these posts has already been issued by the University. There are 92 vacancies for the Clerk post, whereas there are 23 of them for the Lab Assistant Post.

The written exam is one of the two stages of the selection process employed in this recruitment drive. The second stage is the personal interview round, which can be entered once the first stage is cleared. The written exam will comprise of two papers, namely, paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 will be divided into two sections, which are, the General Knowledge section, and the Everyday Mathematics and Science Section. Paper 2 will also contain two sections, namely, General English Section and General Hindi Section. Both Paper 1 and 2 will carry 300 marks each. Three hours will be given to each paper for completion.

The General Science is basically another name of General Knowledge. It consists of the Indian history, current affairs and events, important organizations, national and global events, sculptures and tribes, economic, social and physical geography of India, economy, culture and art of Rajasthan, Rajasthan’s contribution in India’s Freedom Struggle, geography of Rajasthan, awards, meets and sports, and famous tourist spots and places in India.

The General English section will ask questions only on simple English grammar. These questions will cover tenses, error detection and correction, clauses, spellings, passive and active voices, determiners and articles, comprehension of passages, confusing words, letter writing,  vocabulary, adjectives, verbs, sentence transformations, preposition and its usage, indirect and direct narration, synonyms and antonyms, suffixes and prefixes, etc.

The written exam of Lab Assistant will also ask general questions from computer knowledge. Hence, candidates applying for the lab assistant post must also study the basic knowledge of PCs, computer devices, Windows operating system, computer network, etc.
