DLSA Recruitment 2017: The DLSA (District Legal Services Authority) has released the notification for the recruitment of Paralegal Volunteer post. There 226 vacancies for the Paralegal volunteer post, out of which fifty-seven are at the headquarters level, 169 at the Taluka level. This article discusses the DLSA recruitment in detail.

Educational Qualifications

Before applying for this recruitment drive, it is essential for the candidates to fulfill all eligibility requirements. It is necessary for the candidates to have cleared Secondary School exam, and have a certificate to prove it. They must have completed their secondary schooling from RSEB (Rajasthan Secondary Education Board), or an equivalent board recognized by the Rajasthan Government. Additionally, candidates must be able to write as well as speak the Devnagri Lipi.

How to apply

Candidates will need to submit the application form in the format provided by the recruitment board in its official notification. In addition to the application form, they will also need to provide character certificate that is attested by a gazetted officer. The following documents are required to be submitted in addition to the application form and character certificate: birth date proof (attested photocopy of secondary school certificate or birth certificate), Caste certificate (for the reserved category), etc. Candidates are required to paste their attested passport sized photo on the application form before submitting it.

Selection Process

During the selection of candidates for the PLV post, if the number of application forms received is more than the number of vacancies, then an interview round will be conducted before shortlisting. During the selection procedure, female candidates will be given priority. Retired teachers, government officers, senior citizens, MSW students and teachers, Physicians/doctors, law students, NGOs, etc will also be considered fit and able for the PLVs.

Important Dates

The last date for submitting the form is May 22, 2017. Application forms received after the last date will not be taken into consideration. The date of interview will be published on the website itself. Any admit card will not be dispatched through the mail.
